Manufacturing facility: Harrell has 20,000 ft² of manufacturing space in its Rock Hill, SC facility. Process equipment includes Hastelloy, stainless steel and glass-lined reaction vessels ranging from bench-scale to 2000 gallons in size. Temperature capabilities range from –40° to 250°C. Vacuum distillation units are glass or glass-lined and range from bench-scale to 500 gallons. Short path and wiped film evaporators are also available. Drying facilities include atmospheric and vacuum tray driers, and glass-lined and stainless steel double cone vacuum rotary driers. Various grinders, granulators, mills, and vibratory screeners are available for screening and particle sizing.

Laboratory: Harrell has a full service analytical laboratory. Analytical instrumentation includes inductively coupled plasma spectrometers (ICPMS and ICPOES), atomic absorption spectrometers (AA), gas chromatographs (GCMS, GCFID, and GCTCD), UV-vis spectrophotometers, FT-infrared spectrometers (FTIR), and particle size monitors and counters. We also have pH and conductivity meters, and Karl Fisher and coulometric moisture analyzers. We are well versed in various titrimetric, colorimetric, gravimetric, and turbidimetric wet-chemical methods.
